What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a scientific based healthcare profession. A Physiotherapist can help you restore movement and function in your body at home, at work, at sport and in life.

The aim of a Physiotherapist is to improve your well being, and here at Marylebone  Physiotherapy we have a holistic approach to your health, that is we don't just treat your symptom we address your problem as a whole.

All of our Physiotherapists are registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, meaning they are fit to practice and are fully recognized and insured healthcare professionals. We work within a network of highly qualified and experienced consultants, GPs and can refer you for further investigations or scans if necessary. Our clinic of integrated health professionals allows us to share information and knowledge.

Physiotherapy for Back Pain

Back pain is the biggest reason for work absence in the UK. We understand how it can be severely depressing and debilitating for the individual and how it can impact on your work, social and home life.

We are vehement advocates of Pilates which helps stabilize and strengthen you from the inside, retraining your posture and core muscles. By continuing to strengthen yourself, at the clinic and at home you can banish back pain for good.

It may be that your workstation is the culprit. Bad workstation ergonomics can contribute massively to back pain and must be addressed as soon as possible. We can work with your human resource department and make recommendations for a better work station. We can also come to your work and conduct an on-site ergonomic assessment.
