Jess graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in 2016. With a background in sport medicine, having previous completed an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Loughborough University back in 2011 she went straight into private practice working on Harley Street in a specialist sport injury and Orthopaedic clinic. In this role Jess worked as a physio and a hydrotherpist treating a wide range of conditions, including post-op rehabilitation and complex sporting injuries. In this environment she had the opportunity to work with professional athletes from a wide range of sports including football, rugby, hockey, and athletics.
With a previous career in teaching and coaching, Jess values the importance of education in treatment and providing patients with the knowledge to manage and overcome their injuries. She believes in treating the patient holistically to understand the cause of the problem in order to fully maximise recovery and optimise performance, with exercise and movement critical to rehabilitation.
She is continually furthering her skills and is looking forward to completing the APPI Pilates qualification. Additionally, as a keen runner she has committed to developing her knowledge base in this arena too.
Jess has been interested in sports from a young age and has played hockey at National League Level. As a current member of the Belgrave Harriers Athletics Club, she enjoys competing in cross-country races and half-marathons. Jess also maintains an interest in skiing and last year travelled to Verbier to provide medical support at the Ski City Championships to downhill race skiiers.
